Nutrition

About
Carolee Horner provides both group and individual functional nutrition services. Through her Educational Workshop series, participants learn how nutrition plays an essential role in Parkinson’s care and why we say Nutrition is Medicine. Good nutrition is vital for people living with Parkinson’s disease—it supports muscle function, maintains strength, and enhances overall health. A balanced diet can help manage weight, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility, while also preventing secondary health conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Specific nutrients, like omega-3 fatty acids for brain health and adequate protein for muscle repair, further support daily functioning. Together, these benefits make nutrition a powerful tool for improving health, well-being, and quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson’s.
