So, you’re thinking about trying a CFMC Parkinson’s class but not sure what to expect? Don’t worry, no judgment, no pressure, and definitely no spandex required. Whether you’re joining from your living room or your favorite comfy chair, we’ve got you.
Let’s take a peek behind the (virtual) curtain so you feel confident and ready to move.
CFMC stands for Center for Movement Challenges, a virtual wellness and exercise platform designed just for people living with Parkinson’s. Our classes are fun, functional, supportive, and packed with movements that matter.
We’re not just here to help you stretch. We’re here to help you:
Every session is structured to warm you up, challenge your body, and cool you down, all while keeping things safe and accessible.
Here’s the general flow:
1. Welcome & Setup (5 minutes)
2. Gentle Warm-Up (5–10 minutes)
3. Core Workout (30 minutes)
4. Cool-Down & Breathwork (5–10 minutes)
You don’t need a gym. Most classes use:
Bonus: No one cares what you’re wearing. Pajamas? Perfectly acceptable.
It will be the right kind of challenge. We meet you where you are, whether you're newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson’s for years.
“I was nervous to join at first, but now it’s my favorite part of the week.”
“I feel more stable when walking, and I haven’t had a fall since starting classes.”
“My confidence is back. Plus, I’ve made friends.”
Trying something new can feel intimidating. But at CFMC, you’re not doing it alone. You’re joining a community that’s here to support your strength, your movement, and your overall wellness.
So grab a chair, log in, and get ready to feel better, one workout at a time.
